World-famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright, a native Wisconsinite, originally proposed a design for the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center in 1938. He envisioned a curvilinear gathering place linking the shore of Lake Monona to the State Capitol, a dream which was finally realized in 1997. Monona Terrace is a LEED-certified āgreen buildingā.
The Monona Terrace is one Wisconsin’s most unique convention centers boasting six floors: The ground-floor exposition hall is where we will display vehicles and exhibit booths. Level 6 – The Roof Top Gardens, will be where the ride & drive commences. Both are free to the general public who register. Ā The upper floors will be accessible only to full-access pass-holders.Ā Passes allow for unlimited access to:
