SUMMARY:March 22\, 2023 - Webinar #2 Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Discretionary Grant Program
DESCRIPTION:March 23\, 2023 1pm – 2pm CST Webinars have been announced to share information about the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the CFI Program. \nThe Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Discretionary Grant Program (CFI Program) is a new competitive grant program created by President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to strategically deploy publicly accessible electric vehicle charging and alternative fueling infrastructure in the places people live and work\, urban and rural areas alike\, in addition to along designated Alternative Fuel Corridors (AFCs). CFI Program investments will make modern and sustainable infrastructure accessible to all drivers of electric\, hydrogen\, propane\, and natural gas vehicles. This program provides two funding categories of grants: (1) Community Charging and Fueling Grants (Community Program); and (2) Alternative Fuel Corridor Grants (Corridor Program). The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law provides $2.5 billion over five years for this program. This first round of funding makes $700 million from Fiscal Years 2022 and 2023 funding available to strategically deploy electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and other fueling infrastructure projects in urban and rural communities in publicly accessible locations\, including downtown areas and local neighborhoods\, particularly in underserved and disadvantaged communities. \nWebinars are open to the public and registration is required.

SUMMARY:June 28\, 2022 - WisDOT EV Infrastructure Plan Webinar
DESCRIPTION:June 28\, 2022\, 1 p.m.-2 p.m. – WisDOT EV Infrastructure Plan Webinar \nPlease join the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) for a stakeholder Webinar to learn about Wisconsin’s Electrification Initiative (WIEV). This Webinar will provide updates on the planning process and discuss the newly released rules for the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program. WisDOT will also present proposed elements of Wisconsin’s Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Plan. \nPlease join WisDOT virtually on: \nJune 28\, 2022: 1 to 2 p.m. at this link: \nhttps://www.pima.wisconsindot.gov/public/event-registration/search?project_id=14407&pe_guid=dda3872c-dfe5-4806-b2a2-13852cf90d1a \nNo pre-registration is required. Please log on a few minutes before the beginning of the Webinar to sign in and launch the virtual meeting. The presentation will be live-streamed\, and attendees will be able to submit comments or questions once the virtual podium is enabled by the presenters. The Webinar will work best using Google Chrome. Make sure the volume on your device is turned on and adjusted to the highest setting. \nBackground \nWisDOT is estimated to receive approximately $78.65 million over the next five years under the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program. Today most EV charging is accomplished at home. To support long distance trips and overcome range anxiety\, these dollars will be used to fund a network of publicly accessible charging stations along Wisconsin’s Alternative Fuel Corridors. \nTo meet this goal\, WisDOT kicked off both a statewide transportation electrification planning study (January 2022) and more recently the federally required Wisconsin Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (WEVI) Plan development process (March 2022). These efforts will define a comprehensive strategy and action plan to facilitate the electrification of Wisconsin’s transportation system and assess potential agency actions that advance EVs and the deployment of EV charging infrastructure. Finally\, the Plan will include recommendations on how Wisconsin will administer $78.65 million in federal funding over the next five years through a competitive grant program that will meet the NEVI program standards. \nVisit the WisDOT website for more information on the Electrification of Wisconsin and to view the first stakeholder webinar. \nConnect with WisDOT \nIf you would like to share a comment or ask a question about the webinar\, please click here. \n  \n

SUMMARY:June 15\, 2022 - Scale-Up of Integrated Biorefineries Funding Opportunity Webinar
DESCRIPTION:June 15\, 2022\, 2 p.m.-3 p.m. Central – Scale-Up of Integrated Biorefineries Funding Opportunity Webinar \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) on June 1 announced $59 million to accelerate the production of biofuels and bioproducts to reduce emissions in hard-to-decarbonize sectors and create good-paying jobs in rural America. DOE is focused on applied research\, development\, and deployment to improve the performance and reduce the cost of biofuel production technologies and scale-up production systems in partnership with industry. By reducing costs and technical risks\, these efforts can help pave the way for the biofuels industry to deploy commercial-scale integrated biorefineries. The breakthroughs from this funding will support President Biden’s and DOE’s goals of advancing the use of bioenergy\, achieving cost-competitive biofuels\, and reaching a net-zero carbon economy by 2050. \nThe “Scale-Up of Integrated Biorefineries” funding opportunity announcement (FOA) will advance biorefinery development and feedstocks improvement projects in alignment with a broader DOE strategy to support biorefinery projects that can produce sustainable renewable diesel and aviation\, marine\, and rail fuel at every stage of development. Fostering innovation from the lab to the market helps develop biofuel technologies on a production scale and create economic incentives for companies to adopt them. \nAn informational webinar for potential applicants will be held on June 15\, 2022\, at 3:00 pm EST. \nParticipation in the webinar is completely voluntary. Use the following link to access the webinar. Registration will not be required. \nJoin the Webinar here\n \nOr call in (audio only) +1 443-457-0649\,\,437390808#
