SUMMARY:September 21\, 2023 - Conservation\, Renewables\, and Resilience - CNG & EV Efforts
DESCRIPTION:Ashland and Bayfield Counties – far north and rural Wisconsin Counties – have taken the initiative to plan and seek funding to support their alternative fuel goals.  Bayfield County is pursuing several funding opportunities and is deploying CNG and Electric Vehicles.  Xcel Energy assisted with helping to develop supportive utility programs enabling EV chargers to be viable as use ramps up. \nAshland County is in the planning phase through a program called Ashland Charges Ahead.  This monthly stakeholder engagement\, education\, and planning effort will enable them to apply for funding during the next round of CFI / NEVI.  The City of Ashland has recently installed several new EV charging stations. \nThis illustrates that counties with population of any size should be pursuing and can benefit from infrastructure development for both governmental and public use. \nRegister today to hear more from the experts!

SUMMARY:March 22\, 2023 - Webinar #2 Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Discretionary Grant Program
DESCRIPTION:March 23\, 2023 1pm – 2pm CST Webinars have been announced to share information about the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the CFI Program. \nThe Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Discretionary Grant Program (CFI Program) is a new competitive grant program created by President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to strategically deploy publicly accessible electric vehicle charging and alternative fueling infrastructure in the places people live and work\, urban and rural areas alike\, in addition to along designated Alternative Fuel Corridors (AFCs). CFI Program investments will make modern and sustainable infrastructure accessible to all drivers of electric\, hydrogen\, propane\, and natural gas vehicles. This program provides two funding categories of grants: (1) Community Charging and Fueling Grants (Community Program); and (2) Alternative Fuel Corridor Grants (Corridor Program). The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law provides $2.5 billion over five years for this program. This first round of funding makes $700 million from Fiscal Years 2022 and 2023 funding available to strategically deploy electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and other fueling infrastructure projects in urban and rural communities in publicly accessible locations\, including downtown areas and local neighborhoods\, particularly in underserved and disadvantaged communities. \nWebinars are open to the public and registration is required.

SUMMARY:March 21\, 2023 - Webinar #1 Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Discretionary Grant Program
DESCRIPTION:March 21\, 2023\, 12pm – 1pm – Webinars have been announced by the Dept. of Transportation to share information about the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the CFI Program. \nThe webinar is open to the public and registration is required.
