SUMMARY:May 26\, 2022 - WisDOT EV Infrastructure Plan Webinar
DESCRIPTION:May 26\, 2022\, 10 a.m.-11 a.m. Central – WisDOT EV Infrastructure Plan Webinar \n\n\n\nThe Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is estimated to receive approximately $78.65 million over the next five years under the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program. Today most EV charging is accomplished at home. To support long distance trips and overcome range anxiety\, these dollars will be used to fund a network of publicly accessible charging stations along Wisconsin’s Alternative Fuel Corridors. \nTo meet this goal\, WisDOT kicked off both a statewide transportation electrification planning study (January 2022) and more recently the federally required Wisconsin Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (WEVI) Plan (March 2022). These efforts will define a comprehensive strategy and action plan to facilitate the electrification of Wisconsin’s transportation system and assess potential agency actions that advance EVs and the deployment of EV charging infrastructure. Finally\, the Plan will include recommendations on how Wisconsin will administer $78.65 million in federal funding over the next five years to expand our state’s electric vehicle infrastructure network and meet the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program standards. \nWisDOT is eager to learn from stakeholders and industry experts to shape the development of the WEVI Plan. Please join WisDOT on May 26\, 2022\, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. for a Webinar to learn about NEVI and WEVI and have an opportunity to ask questions. \nClick here to join the Webinar. Please log on a few minutes before 10 a.m. on the day of the webinar to sign in and launch the virtual meeting. The webinar will work best using Google Chrome. Make sure the volume on your device is turned on and adjusted to the highest setting. \nVisit the WisDOT Website for more information on the Electrification of Wisconsin. \nIf you would like to share a comment or ask a question about the Webinar\, please click here. \n\n\n\nQuestions? Contact us!\n\n\nContact Wisconsin Clean Cities Executive Director Lorrie Lisek at lorrie.lisek@wicleancities.org to learn how to maximize your success with funding opportunities!
