MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN – Wisconsin Clean Cities is accepting applications for a paid Spring 2023 internship.
The Clean Cities University Workforce Development Program (CCUWDP) is an initiative of Clean Cities, a government-industry partnership sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy Vehicle Technologies Program.
Clean Cities strives to reduce petroleum consumption in the transportation sector in more than 75 regions across the country. Since the creation of the CCUWDP in 2010, Clean Cities has hosted more than 300 interns at more than 60 Coalitions. Past internships have led to permanent positions.
The Clean Cities internship will give students the opportunity to grow public awareness and expand the markets of advanced vehicle technologies, alternative fuels and practices that reduce the consumption of petroleum. Students have participated in research, marketing, media relations, outreach activities, public education, K-12 outreach, fleet events and a vast array of transportation-related environmental projects.
Details:
- Internships will be available with Wisconsin Clean Cities January through April 2023.
- Exact start/end dates will be determined
- The internship runs 15-20 hours per week for 14 weeks
- Stipends range from $3,000 to $5,000 for the term of the internship, depending on academic classification and number of hours assigned by the coalition
- Students studying business, communications, engineering, environmental science and/or urban planning are strongly preferred (junior, senior, graduate student or 1-year post graduate)
- The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Office 365 and Excel.
- The student may work remotely, either from their home or dorm and/or from the Legacy
- Environmental Services, Inc. office in St. John, Indiana.
