City of Sun Prairie

The Sun Prairie Public Works Department provides services to city residents in the areas of street maintenance, snow and ice removal, refuse and recycling services, brush and yard waste collection, stormwater maintenance, traffic control, and fleet services to city-owned vehicles. Sun Prairie's light-duty municipal fleet consists of 55 vehicles, about 25% of which is electric, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and hybrid. The Sun Prairie Common Council passed a resolution aiming to fully electrify 50% of its light-duty fleet by 2035.
