Renewable fuel tax credit extension clears hurdle
Congressional leaders on Dec. 17 approved the renewed & extended renewable fuel tax provisions in their tax extenders agreement in the FY2020 spending bill. The amendment would retroactively reinstate the second-generation biofuel producer credit, the special allowance for second-generation biofuel plant properties & the alternative fuel refueling property credit for 2018 and 2019 & extend them through 2020. It would also reinstate the biodiesel tax credits for 2018 & 2019 & extend them through 2022. The Senate is expected to approve the bill by the end of the week before it goes to President for final approval. Read the text of the full tax extenders package here
