School District of Arcadia

The School District of Arcadia is a public school system in western Wisconsin, serving roughly 1,300 students across 211 square miles in Buffalo and Trempealeau counties. The district includes Arcadia, Waumandee, Dodge, and Pine Creek. The School District operates a transportation fleet comprising 26 commercial power units and 15–20 dedicated bus drivers. They are noted for being one of Wisconsin's top Academic fleets for using clean fuels - converting half their buses to compressed natural gas (CNG) and adopting a CNG fueling station to meet the district's mission of being more economically and environmentally friendly. The district has saved $40,000 in fuel and maintenance costs and eliminated 400 tons of greenhouse gas emissions annually since the switch!
