June 22, 2022 – WisDOT EV Infrastructure Plan Webinar
June 22, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
June 22, 2022, 10 a.m.-11 a.m. – WisDOT EV Infrastructure Plan Webinar
Please join the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) for an upcoming public webinar to learn about how the agency is preparing a plan to expand access to electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across the state.
WisDOT is estimated to receive approximately $78.65 million over the next five years under the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program. Today most EV charging is accomplished at home. To support long distance trips and overcome range anxiety, these dollars will be used to fund a network of publicly accessible charging stations along Wisconsin’s Alternative Fuel Corridors. To meet this goal, WisDOT kicked off both a statewide transportation electrification planning study (January 2022) and more recently the federally required Wisconsin Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (WEVI) Plan development process (March 2022). These efforts will define a comprehensive strategy and action plan to facilitate the electrification of Wisconsin’s transportation system and assess potential agency actions that advance EVs and the deployment of EV charging infrastructure. Finally, the Plan will include recommendations on how Wisconsin will administer $78.65 million in federal funding over the next five years through a competitive grant program that will meet the NEVI program standards. WisDOT wants to inform stakeholders about this exciting initiative and receive feedback to help shape the development of the Plan. These webinars are intended for a broad audience with an educational focus and will include similar information presented at the May 26 stakeholder webinar. Please join WisDOT virtually on either: June 21, 2022: 5 to 6 p.m. at this link: June 22, 2022: 10 to 11 a.m. at this link: No pre-registration is required.
