02/07/25 – “In accordance with administration priorities, we are ceasing all activities in the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice 40 space. This includes all work related to the Community Engagement Liaison (CEL) initiative. As of February 3, 2025, all CEL activities have ceased and the NREL and ANL teams are closing out all CEL projects.” Memo on Native Sun funding. This order has led to the cancelation of DOE grants targeted to Tribal and other communities.
02/06/25 – USDOT/FHA – Memo pausing NEVI/WEVI: “As a result of the rescission of the NEVI Formula Program Guidance, FHWA is also immediately suspending the approval of all State Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Deployment plans for all fiscal years. Therefore, effective immediately, no new obligations may occur under the NEVI Formula Program until the updated final NEVI Formula Program Guidance is issued and new State plans are submitted and approved.”
03/06/2025 – A Federal Court issues an injunction ordering the release of IRA and IIJA funds. It is likely the Department of Justice will appeal the court’s decision.
